TNS Employees Enjoy Volunteering at UAID
Salt Lake City, UT, December 16, 2013, Trusted Network Solutions volunteered with the Utah Association for Intellectual Disabilities (UAID). TNS employees spent Monday gathering donated items within the UAID warehouse, bundling and then wrapping them to fulfill UAID client wish lists. “It was really great to take a hands on approach and put everything together,” said Scott Fleming, sales engineer at Trusted Network Solutions. Trusted Network Solutions also donated $2,000 cash to UAID’s shopping fund.
Joined by other volunteers, TNS helped to ensure that persons with intellectual disabilities received gifts of “the necessities” for the holiday season. According to a UAID representative, “UAID works to meet the basic needs of the clients.”
With the volunteer efforts of companies like TNS, and individuals within the community, UAID works to provide 1,206+ intellectually disabled adults (and some children) with gifts and other necessities that they would otherwise struggle to purchase. TNS discovered UAID as a charity in 2010 and has enjoyed being involved in aiding with their holiday wish list ever since.
