TNS Participates in “Dirty Dash” for Charity
Salt Lake City, Utah, September 24, 2012 – Trusted Network Solutions, a leading Value Added Reseller, announced today that they had participated in the 2012 Dirty Dash, a 10K event created to generate support for local charities. The TNS staff, joined by thousands of others, donated their time, resources and shoes to the event, and completed the ten kilometer run through trenches of mud and extreme obstacles. The Dirty Dash is a “mud run” obstacle course where “military boot camp meets your inner-5-year-old’s fantasy” of trudging through mud and overcoming challenging obstructions.
“We chose the Dirty Dash because we could not only donate our shoes and funds towards causes we felt strongly about, but also because the much of the proceeds went to charities that are based right here in Utah,” said Russell Lindsay, Engineering Manager of Trusted Network Solutions. “It turned out to be not only a great charity event but also an extremely fun Saturday for everybody who attended.”
The Dirty Dash uses the proceeds from onsite donations as well as event entry fees to help many worthwhile causes, including The Road Home, Redeeming Soles, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society among others. The Road Home is a Salt Lake City based homeless shelter that takes in entire families and gives them a place to stay while they take back their jobs and get on their feet again. Redeeming Soles and Green Sneakers are global needs organizations that collect used shoes, clean them, and repurpose them as free or affordable footwear in third-world countries.
