Dave Norwood named “Technologist in Residence” for the David Eccles School of Business
Salt Lake City, UT, November 15, 2015 Dave Norwood, President and Founder of Trusted Network Solution, has been named Technologist in Residence for the DESB at the University of Utah. This deepens the relationship Dave has been building with the University of Utah Operations and Information Systems Department.
Dave will be running the MSIS (Masters of Science – Information Systems) Sponsored Capstone program. He will be mentoring MSIS students who finish up their degree with a formal sponsored capstone project. A sponsored capstone project is a long running, complex IT project executed by students for a specific organization (“sponsor”) that provides them real-world experience that makes them more attractive to potential employers. Sponsors benefit from the completion of important IT projects and vetting potential employees while giving back to the community.
“I’m honored and excited to work with topnotch Masters students at a world-class university.” Dave added “There is great synergy between my roll at TNS and helping students find and successfully complete IT projects as this program grows.” The MSIS program is experiencing explosive growth and is actively looking for experienced professionals like Mr. Norwood to help manage that growth.
